Top Fuel Momentum for Ashley
Top Fuel contender Justin Ashley heads into the NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways with strong momentum following a recent victory in Norwalk, Ohio. Piloting the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota dragster, Ashley is looking to make a big impact in Seattle as he targets the Deecell Power Systems "After Dark Low Qualifier" bonus during Friday night’s critical first qualifying round.
With limited chances to qualify—one session Friday night and three more on Saturday—Ashley emphasizes the importance of performing early to lock in top qualifying positions. He’s also focused on Saturday’s Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge, a unique eliminations-style event that offers additional competitive laps before Sunday’s main eliminations.
Ashley currently sits third in the Top Fuel standings and has reached six final rounds this season, including recent back-to-back wins at Virginia and Norwalk. With momentum on his side and confidence in his team, Ashley aims to follow in SCAG Racing’s winning footsteps in Seattle and continue climbing the championship leaderboard.
