Justin Ashley Aims for Redemption at NHRA Arizona Nationals

Top Fuel driver Justin Ashley and his SCAG Power Equipment Toyota team are set to compete at the 40th annual NHRA Arizona Nationals at Firebird Motorsports Park. Ashley, the 2020 NHRA Rookie of the Year, aims for a third consecutive final round appearance at the event after winning in 2023 and finishing as runner-up in 2024.

Ashley is coming off a first-round exit at the NHRA Gatornationals and is tied for 15th in points heading into the second race of the season. The NHRA Arizona Nationals will feature four qualifying rounds on Friday and Saturday, with eliminations beginning Sunday. FS1 will provide television coverage throughout the weekend.

"“What excites me most about returning to Phoenix is the opportunity to continue making laps on this race car. Mike [Green], Tommy [DeLago], and the team worked hard over the last few months to make the necessary changes required for increased performance. The more laps we make, the more data we receive, the better we become,” Ashley said. “We’ve had a lot of success at Firebird Motorsports Park in the past and are fully positioned to do the same this weekend. It’s our goal to go just one round further than last season and park our SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel dragster in the winners circle.”
