Ashley Targets Four-Wide Momentum at zMAX

Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel team are set for the NHRA Four-Wide Carolina Nationals at zMAX Dragway, the second race in the Countdown to the Championship. For the first time, four-wide racing will be part of the Countdown, raising the stakes in the playoff push.

Ashley enters the event fourth in points after his U.S. Nationals victory and a second-round finish at Reading. With five races left, he’s focused on maximizing every opportunity:

"This is the first time we’ll be racing four-wide in the Countdown so it’ll certainly add a twist to things. But I think that’s good. If it’s beneficial for the sport, then I’m all for it. Right now, our focus is on ourselves. We have the utmost confidence in our SCAG Power Equipment team… There’s five races left, and we want to take advantage of every point available."

Ashley has proven strong in the format, with a final quad in Las Vegas and a runner-up at zMAX this spring. Backed by SCAG Power Equipment, RCN Capital, and other partners, the team enters with six final-round appearances this season and momentum from their Indy triumph.
