Ashley Aims for Strong Finish at Pomona Finale
As the 2025 NHRA season reaches its finale, Justin Ashley and the SCAG Power Equipment Toyota Top Fuel team arrive at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals in Pomona determined to finish strong. After a challenging start to the year, Ashley surged back with four wins in seven final-round appearances, including victories at the Virginia Nationals, Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, and his first-ever U.S. Nationals win in Indianapolis. He currently holds third place in the Top Fuel standings, only 21 points behind second. Pomona has been a standout track for Ashley, where he has reached four consecutive Winternationals finals with three victories from 2022 to 2024.
“Although we are not competing for the world championship, our goal does not change,” said Ashley. “We want to win. It’s important that we secure a high points finish. Every round is very critical this weekend from qualifying to raceday, especially being that it’s points in a half. There’ll be opportunities out there. We want to take advantage of them.” He also credited his crew chiefs Tommy DeLago and Jason McCulloch for their continued progress, noting, “They immediately came in and made an impact both on and off the racetrack in Las Vegas. I know they expect more of the same in Pomona.”
