Perma-Rivet
Thread Kits Company offers a full line of headed rivets for general consumer and industrial applications. The materials and manufacturing processes used to head rivet bodies increase their shear and tensile values over a stamped eyelet-style rivet.
KATO Perma-Rivets are used to fasten together two or more pieces of material of varying thickness. The rivet body alloy, in addition to being chosen for strength requirements, should also be selected for compatiblity with the material to be joined to avoid galvanic corrosion caused by coupling dissimilar metals.
Perma-Rivet Tools
P39000
The P39000 is our most popular rivet tool, providing both quality and durability. The high-leverage handles are designed to have superior pulling power along with easy one hand operation. The P39000 sets rivets up to 3/16” diameter and comes with four interchangeable nosepieces (3/32”, 1/8”, 5/32”, 3/16”) and a wrench. Replacement jaws are sold separately.
P39005
The P39005 Pivot-Head rivet tool features a 360° rotating head designed for easy access to hard to reach applications. This patented tool is constructed of hardened steel and cast aluminum for longer life. The P39005 also includes built-in threaded nosepiece storage holes and a service wrench. The P39005 sets up to 3/16” steel rivets. Replacement jaws are sold separately.
P39010
The P39010 professional grade rivet tool is our most powerful hand riveter, taking the hard work out of setting large diameter blind rivets. With its unique collapsible handle design, the P39010 handles extend to provide excellent leverage and premits working a foot beyond natural reach. The P39010 easily sets from 1/8” to 1/4” diameter Perma-Rivets in all alloys. Furnished with standard nosepieces to set up to 1/4”, wrenches and plastic storage case. Replacement parts sold separate.
P39040
The P39040 is a perfect medium-duty tool for the do-it-yourselfer or occasional user, setting all 1/8” - 5/32” steel, and 3/16” all aluminum Perma-Rivets. Nosepieces and wrench included. No replacement parts available.

Plastic Perma-Rivet
Plastic Perma-Rivets are the same precision-molded all nylon rivets used in todays automobiles for both original equipment and replacement parts. Plastic rivets are ideal for use in conductive and corrosive applications. Our plastic Perma-Rivets fasten plastic to plastic, plastic to metal, and plastic to fiberglass. As they set, three “legs” form to securely lock the components in place and prevent pullout, leaving an attractive finished appearance.

This long-reach tool is exactly what is need for today’s hard to reach spots, especially in automotive applications such as flexible bumpers, wheel wells, license plate brackets and bumper reinforcements. In addition to the tools long-reach, it offers a one-stroke setting and a universal nosepiece that sets all plastic rivets.
